It was observed with great concern that there is no Journal in the Field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to publish the work of the researchers in the field, to start efforts to publish the clinical and scientific material first time in 1988 by Professor Saad Rana. He alone make it possible to launch Journal in the name of Pakistan Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology without any financial assistance and available resources. It is pertinent to mention here and it goes without saying that PJOG is an initiative of a person who dedicated his life for a purpose and never compromised at any stage. His devotion, dedication, commitment and sincerity is beyond doubt. Even at times he handled it alone and borne all the costs at his own level to nurture this plant, which is now a gigantic tree of its field with full bloom. This legendary celebrity is Professor Saad Rana, Founder Editor/Chief Editor of PJOG.

Professor Dr. Shagufta Saeed Sial (FCPS, FIGO Fellowship "Canada")

Dr. Shagufta Saeed was started work in PJOG as Assistant Editor in 1993 she assists and make all possible efforts without any doubt in all related vicinity to publish timely every issue of the Journal. In view of her sincere dedications and commitments, very soon she was assigned the responsibilities as Editor of the Journal. Since then she is nurturing this baby.
